September is quickly turning out to be Freya Central! Rising pop star Freya Skye has released her highly anticipated new single “bad taste” today, September 16, just days before she kicks off her continued sold out headlining Stars Align Tour in Santa Barbara, California on September 19.

Hudson Stone announced today he has signed an exclusive recording contract with Hollywood Records. Stone has a busy summer on tap, starring as “Desi” in the highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie “Camp Rock 3”, releasing his debut solo music on Hollywood Records, and again this fall performing in arenas on the “Worlds Collide Concert Tour”.

Hollywood Records announces that Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, featuring a collection of 18 songs, is set for release on July 24. The soundtrack will also be available on CD and a 12" 2-LP vinyl on July 26. The Deadpool & Wolverine Original Score digital album, with music by composer Rob Simonsen, will also be available in ATMOS on July 24, along with the digital deluxe edition soundtrack, which includes both songs and score.

Everything is coming up Disney for singer and actress Freya Skye, as she simultaneously locks recording and television deals with Disney. Freya has begun recording music for Hollywood Records, a division of Disney Music Group (DMG), after recently landing a holding deal with Disney Branded Television. As revealed during the 2024 Television Critics Association winter press tour, Freya is set to star as supernatural character Nova in the upcoming movie “ZOMBIES 4” (working title). Freya’s DMG deal also includes Disney Music Publishing as a songwriter, officially launching her into the multi-hyphenate stratosphere as a singer, songwriter and actress.

Just ahead of the premiere of Welcome to Earth, a Disney+ original series from National Geographic, Hollywood Records announced that the Original Series Soundtrack with music by Academy Award®-nominated and Emmy Award®-winning composer Daniel Pemberton (The Trial of The Chicago 7, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) will release Friday, December 10. Known for his innovative and exciting scores, Pemberton recently won a Critics Choice Award® for Best Original Score for The Rescue and was named Film Composer of the Year in 2021 by both the World Soundtrack Awards and the international film music critics association IFMCA. Pemberton, who has composed music for some of today’s top film luminaries including Ridley Scott, Aaron Sorkin, and Danny Boyle, reteamed with Academy Award®-nominated filmmaker Darren Aronofsky for Welcome to Earth, and had this to say about the project:

Hollywood Records is pleased to announce the release dates for the soundtrack from the highly-anticipated film “West Side Story,” directed by Academy Award® winner Steven Spielberg, from a screenplay by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award® winner Tony Kushner. “West Side Story” tells the classic tale of fierce rivalries and young love in 1957 New York City. From 20th Century Studios, The Walt Disney Company will release “West Side Story” in U.S. theaters on December 10, 2021.

The track list from the Free Guy Original Motion Picture Soundtrack was revealed today. With songs featured by Mariah Carey, Fred Astaire, Digital Underground, Mama Cass and more, the Free Guy soundtrack offers an eclectic mix of some of pop music’s greatest moments. The soundtrack also includes 4 score tracks by Emmy®-nominated composer Christophe Beck (“WandaVision,” “Frozen 2,” “Ant-Man and the Wasp”). The Free Guy Original Score album is also available on August 11 and will be followed by the vinyl soundtrack album release on August 13.
